Backstage Tours
Tour Information
Come and explore the most amazing site specific theatre in the country. The Railway Children at Waterloo Station has already played to over 165,000 people! Now you can get exclusive access to all those areas that are normally closed to the public.

You can see how this 1000 seat theatre was constructed on a railway station platform in the heart of London. See the backstage areas and take a closer look at the props and costumes. See how the technical aspects of the production are reproduced and walk along the acting areas. This is an opportunity to get up close and personal with a real steam train, the 'star of the show', Stirling Single locomotive from the National Railway Museum collection, and sit in The Old Gentleman's Saloon, a luxury passenger carriage built in 1871 and used in the 1970 film version of The Railway Children.
Book early and be amazed.
