Please use the staircase located in the hoarding next to Platform 19 on the main station concourse.
Outside Waterloo Station:
Please use the archway located to the right of the main stairway entrance (Victory Arch) to Waterloo Station.
This will lead you to the main concourse area where our Box Office is located and is open every day from 10am until 8pm (except Tuesdays which is 10am - 6pm and Sundays which is 10am - 5.30pm)

The theatre is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Spaces in the auditorium for wheelchair users and their companions can be booked in advance with the Box Office

Does the theatre have seats?
The 1000-seat auditorium is exactly like a normal indoor theatre even with comfortable padded seats. Every ticket-holder has an allocated seat that will be on either side of the track.
What should I wear?
You are welcome to dress as casually or as smartly as you like. The theatre is entirely indoors, so don’t worry about the weather.
Can I bring my own food and drink to the theatre?
There is a large selection of all sorts of food and drink available at the theatre and so please do not bring your own. Drinks may be taken into the auditorium but please be considerate of your fellow audience members and the performers.
What time can I get in to the theatre?
The theatre and bars open 1.5 hours before the performance. The concourse and exhibition area is open all day.
I need to organise my journey home, how will I know when the performance will finish?
The running time is 2 hours and 20 minutes including an interval
Where shall the entrance be?
Down the main steps of Waterloo Station (Victory Arch), turn left and left again into a very visible Railway Children Tunnel.
Where can I buy/pick up tickets on site?
At the on site box office which is situated on the concourse of the venue through the Tunnel (open every day from 10am until 8pm (except Tuesdays & Sundays until 5.30pm).
Who’s In it?
We have assembled a fine cast lead by Marshall Lancaster as Mr Perks (The Station Master). Marshall is best known for his performance as Chris Slater in the TV series Ashes to Ashes, and prior to that Coronation St and Life On Mars. Also Caroline Harker (The Mother) from ITV’s A Touch of Frost.
Is the show in the open air?
No, a specially built black interior provides a lining to the glass structure, and encloses the space from the elements.
Will the space be hot/cold?
No, there will be Air Conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter.
What will the seating be like?
500 comfortable padded seats will be banked either side of the platforms (1,000 in total) with good visibility all round.
Will there be bars, cafes and shops?
Refreshments will be available Front of House to include, food, drinks ice-cream, pick n’ mix, popcorn etc. The audience will also have the opportunity to purchase specially designed show memorabilia, order a picnic, or enjoy a glass of champagne or Pimms before, during or after the show.
There will also be an exhibition in support of The Railway Children Charity*, rides for children and a model railway in the concourse as you enter.
Will there be merchandise?
Yes
Are you using the whole Eurostar Site?
No, we are using the concourse, some of the duty free/shopping area and 2 platforms. The theatre venue is well contained within the site.
Is there disabled access?
Yes there is full disabled access and disabled parking available; please enquire when booking for further information.
Can I take small children?
Yes, children over 2 will enjoy the event.
My child will sit on my lap. Do I still need a ticket?
Yes.
What will happen if I am late for the performance?
You will be let in at a suitable point but may miss quite a bit of the show. It is recommended that you allow at least 20 minutes to reach the theatre once you are within Waterloo Station.
What if my child gets scared/upset?
An Usher will be alerted to assist you exiting the auditorium, but there is nothing scary or upsetting in the show.
Do you have a hearing assistance device?
No but we will have captioned performances available during the run.
Can I take photographs or video inside the Theatre?
No
Where can I park nearby?
There is a car park on the Southbank by the London Eye.
Conditions of entry Policy
• Large bags, suitcases, rucksacks, shopping bags and other large storage items are not permitted.
• Left luggage on platform 11 is available from 7am – 11pm daily at a cost of £8/item for the first 24 hours and £4/item for every 24 hours thereafter.
• 1 small day pack per person allowed.
• No food/drink items bought externally can be brought on site.
• Bags or other belongings will under no circumstance be stored on site.
• Bag searches will be conducted.
• The performance is not suitable for children under 2 years old.
• Babes in arms are not permitted.
• All people wishing to enter the venue must have a ticket. Family members/friends can not accompany a party and remain in the foyer during the performance.
• Animals, with the exception of assistance dogs, are not permitted in the venue at any time.
• Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the venue.
• The venue does not have a cloakroom.
• Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of the management.
• The management reserve the right to refuse entry in reasonable circumstances.
All of the above are conditions of entry.
