Inside Waterloo Station
Please use the staircase located in the hoarding next to Platform 19 on the main station concourse.
For access customers, there is step-free access from the station at exits 1, 2 and 3. Once outside, please continue down Station Approach Road until you reach The Railway Children archway.
Outside Waterloo Station
Please use the archway located to the right of the main stairway entrance (Victory Arch) to Waterloo Station.
Frequently Asked Questions
The 1000-seat auditorium is exactly like a normal indoor theatre even with comfortable padded seats. Every ticket-holder has an allocated seat that will be on either side of the track.
You are welcome to dress as casually or as smartly as you like. The theatre is entirely indoors, so don’t worry about the weather.
There is a selection of all sorts of food and drink available at the theatre and so please do not bring your own. Drinks may be taken into the auditorium but please be considerate of your fellow audience members and the performers.
The theatre and bars open 1 hour before the performance. The concourse and exhibition area is open all day.
The running time is 2 hours and 20 minutes including an interval.
At the on-site box office which is situated on the concourse of the venue. Our box office is open Monday 10am until 6pm, Tuesday – Saturday 10am until 8pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm.
We have assembled a fine cast lead by comedian and broadcaster Marcus Brigstocke as Mr Perks (The Station Master). Marcus has appeared on Just A Minute, QI, and Have I got News For You. More recently, he has played King Arthur in the UK Tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot. The Father is played by Stephen Beckett , who is best known as playing Matt Ramsden in Coronation Street.

500 comfortable padded seats will be banked either side of the platforms (1,000 in total) with good visibility all round.
Refreshments will be available Front of House including, food, drinks, ice-cream, pick n’ mix, popcorn etc. The audience will also have the opportunity to purchase specially designed show memorabilia.

- Large bags, suitcases, rucksacks, shopping bags and other large storage items are not permitted.
- Left luggage is located in Waterloo Station at Exit 6 and is available from 7am – 11pm daily at a cost of £8.50/item for the first 24 hours and £5/item for every 24 hours thereafter.
- 1 small day pack per person allowed.
- No food/drink items bought externally can be brought on site.
- Bags or other belongings will under no circumstance be stored on site.
- Bag searches will be conducted.
- The performance is not suitable for children under 2 years old.
- Babes in arms are not permitted.
- All people wishing to enter the venue must have a ticket. Family members/friends can not accompany a party and remain in the foyer during the performance.
- Animals, with the exception of assistance dogs, are not permitted in the venue at any time.
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the venue.
- The venue does not have a cloakroom.
- Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of the management.
- The management reserve the right to refuse entry in reasonable circumstances.
